In more detail
Make sure that heat can't accumulate under your baby's body.
The 3D technology in the AeroSleep mattress protector lets excess heat escape, so that it will not accumulate under the body. The pillow lets heat around the head escape in the same way. The AeroMoov Air Layer allows your little one to sleep safely in a car seat or pushchair. It uses the same 3D technology.
Make sure the air can circulate in the bed.
Choose a bed with bars and a slatted bed base, as these let plenty of air through. To prevent your child from bumping into the bars, you can attach the AeroSleep bed bumper. The 3D technology of the bed bumper lets the air through and makes sure that your child can breathe freely at all times.
Dress your baby in clothes with the right tog rating for the room temperature.
The tog rating indicates how well clothing or bedding retains heat. The hotter it gets, the lower the accumulated tog rating of the clothing and bedding should be.
Room temperature TOG rating | |
over 24°C 0,25 TOG | |
up to 24°C 0,5 TOG | |
up to 21°C 1,0 TOG | |
up to 18°C 2,0 TOG | |
up to 16°C 2,5 TOG |
Puckababy provides the tog rating for each type of sleeping bag and also has available a tog rating overview for each product.
